Scripture:
“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” – Isaiah 9:6 (NIV)
Jesus came to bring peace, not just between nations, but between God and humanity. His birth in a humble manger signaled the beginning of God’s plan to reconcile the world to Himself. The angels declared, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests” (Luke 2:14). Jesus is the Prince of Peace, and He offers a peace that transcends our understanding, a peace that is rooted in His presence.
In this Advent season, we are reminded that peace comes not from the absence of conflict, but from the presence of Christ. When we receive Him, He brings peace to our hearts, even in the midst of life’s storms.
Reflection:
Is there an area in your life where you need the peace of Christ? Perhaps there are relationships, struggles, or anxieties that are weighing on you. Invite Jesus, the Prince of Peace, to bring His peace into those areas.
Prayer:
Prince of Peace, thank You for coming to bring peace to a broken world. We long for Your peace in our hearts and in our relationships. Help us to experience Your peace in a deeper way this season. Amen.
